Fashionably Organic…

I enjoy the better things in life. Life is about an adventure and enjoying every minute of it. If you can’t enjoy life, what’s the point of living? Life is meant to be fabulous… And when I feel the need to feel fabulous, I treat myself to something relaxing….

Spa Ja

Spa Ja meaning Spa Now in Portuguese.

I’ve been to this place twice and absolutely love it! Beautiful black and red décor, this is the place to visit when you’ve had a long day of hard work and if you want to forget about the recession. The location is near perfect, extremely close to Columbus Circle; It's almost as if it's tucked away but you couldn't miss it. As soon as you walk in, you are in another dimension. You'll walk up a flight of stairs and smell the invigorating scent of oils and hear the sweet sounds of Brazilian music. When you enter the spa itself, you are offered a delicious home-made organic antioxidant tea and treats. You are also served with a healing towel with organic essential oils to calm you before your procedure making you forget about your stressful day. Best of all, Spa Ja is an all organic Brazilian spa, meaning their products and procedures use absolutely no chemicals.
But when you leave, it's simply impossible to walk out of Spa Ja without taking the experience home with you! They sell international products, from toothpaste, cleanser, moisturizer to aromatherapy products! The owner, Giovanna tests the products thoroughly to make sure there are no non-natural ingredients. These products are from Sweden, France and Brazil. Image your bathroom as an international spa!;-).
Ok, so I couldn’t leave empty handed, so I purchased the Botot (french) toothpaste. Giovanna says, there is no whitener in it because it harms your teeth. Yes, the dentist told me that one too. I must admit though, I was a bit skeptical at first, I was even tempted to whip out my whitening strips, but once I tried it for a couple of weeks, I actually loved it! And my teeth stayed white! Botot $8.
Visit Spa Ja and don’t forget to tell Giovanna that Zephorah says hello;-)
