New York Fashion Week!

IVANAhelsinki

Ivana Helsinki had one of the prettiest lines I've seen all season. Her sailor inspired collection was so adorable, I wanted to buy her whole line!

This is one of my absolute favorite dresses. It reminds of Sharon Tate's character in "Valley of the Dolls". This will def be in Zeph's Closet next Spring!

The accessories were a great choice with the dresses.

The music selection of the show made feel like I was in Paris!

Zang Toi

Welcome to the Wild Wild West with Zang Toi!

One of the most beautiful collections that I've seen all season! The Wild Wild West theme and the runway music reminded of the 1980's series Dallas.

A woman in a cowboy hat makes a very powerful statement. I've been meaning to add a cowboy hat to my wardrobe... Maybe next spring (or this fall) will be a good time to rock it. The hair and the accessories were a nice touch!

I love his new direction!

Vassilios Kostetsos

Here are my favorite looks from the VK collection this season!

womens

mens

I always appreciate a fashion show that has a mixture of casual and dressy. Vassilios Kostetsos, never disappoints with his sense of style. I love that his pieces are always mixed, because it gives the stylish woman and man more fashionable choices on what to wear. What makes a show is the use of accessories and scarves and knowing where to place them. Vassilios Kostetsos achieved that look this season.

The inspiration behind his line are the Greek antiquities and the Amazons. Different materials used are fine jersey, satin and shantung. If you look closely, you'll notice the different shapes and elements that are used to decorate Greek pottery.

The strongest colors used in his line are Aegean Sea blue, gold, monochrome and terracotta. One of the pieces that caught my eye the most was the Goddess Aphrodite inspiration.
Although part of his line reflected Greece of yesterday, you see the modern man and woman wearing his collection today.

General Idea

For the ladies that love dressing their men, fathers or brothers, here are a few ideas you can take from General Idea.

It was interesting watching the menswear line, because I've always seen men as being basic and boring. You know with us women, it's always fun dressing up! But with men, you can have fun dressing them too. Just be very careful how you dress them.

My favorite pieces from this season are the hats and jackets. I love to see a man in a hat... it really changes his whole look.

Dazzling swimwear for a Miami Beach pool party!

And what's a show without the proper accessories?

After you leave the beach to an upscale restaurant with some friends or associates, dress your swimwear in a nice lightweight shawl or wrap. Don't forget your hat!

A more artsy approach to the beauty of his dresses. From this angle, notice how beautiful they are when the light bounces off of the flowing gowns. Stunning.

His designs celebrates the woman's body by allowing freedom of movement. Any woman would feel celebrated walking in these beautiful gowns!
Perfect for a walk on the red carpet, an evening banquet or even a cocktail party!

"Someday I'll Find You" by Stefania Pia

Last night we began fashion week with designer, Stefania Pia!
She creates exclusive vintage necklaces with vintage objects she finds at flea markets and thrift stores.

The leaves represent nature infused with our bodies because we are nature.

The overall presentation gave me a "back to nature" feel.
