The infamous "Windy Waters" by The John Ashford Collection

Heels, heels, and legs for days! It was heaven on earth at this years, 2nd annual, High Heel-a-thon in NYC’s Central Park. The event took place on Wednesday, September 22nd at the crack of dawn as a massive overhaul of over 500 women in stilettos raced at the chance for $10,000 and a brand new Volkswagen Jetta, 2011. The event was held in support of The Heart Truth foundation. This charity raises money to support the women’s heart health education and research. As I cheered for my friend Wendy Ford, from Silver Spring, Maryland, I am proud to say that I had the opportunity to have her wearing my custom made aqua and pink four inch heels that I like to call the “Windy Waters” as she made a mad dash for the finish line. Although she was not the winner in the race, the opportunity to have my shoes showcased was definitely a huge triumph and a step closer to my goal as a designer!
