This is a story of a beautiful young girl named Debbie who married a handsome fellow named Gary in 1970.
They first met in high school. Debbie was a only freshman and Gary was a senior. When he first laid eyes on her, he thought she was the most beautiful thing in the world.

After he graduated high school, he served in Vietnam. While he was away, he missed her so much that he wrote letters to her declaring his love.

When he returned, they were married.

The lady sitting to the far left is her sister Denise. She made Debbie's wedding dress AND all of the bridemaid's dresses! Talk about true talent!

They don't make weddings like this anymore. Everyone wants to be fancy and expensive these days! LOL

This young girl is my mother and this handsome fellow is my father. She was barely out of her teens when she married. Times were different back then... folks got married young! I did a vintage story portraying her. This is a story honoring my mother's and father's 40th anniversary! This is the original story.
