Hello Lu,
I love modeling and have been at it for 4 years. Currently, I work in the corporate field. I've signed with a commercial agency recently and I'm being sent out on castings. But I have not found a modeling job yet. My problem is that me going on these castings interfere with my job at work. My boss is starting to see that I am coming back late from lunch... I'll stay out for 2 hours because of the castings and of course it's not in my control. I have to find something else to do to supplement my income I guess. It's just extremely hard because I don't have comp cards because I can't afford them (this is a temp assignment). I need something more permanent, so I could afford Kinkos and cards. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Dear Temp,
Models, actors and dancers all take jobs in the evening. We must have our days free. Agents will not keep you unless you make castings, and employer's will eventually fire you, if you continue to take two-hour lunches. Most people in the entertainment industry work in the evening. Hostess, bartending etc.
