After all the good eating over the Holidays, it’s time for a detox! It’s always best to start the New Year with something healthy. My advice is to never jump right into a detox, let your body get used to it. Since it's winter, we tend to eat a lot more, so it's important to plan.
There are many different detoxes to choose from which means, changing your eating habits for a specified period of time. Whatever you decide to do, you should ease your way into it.
For example, if you plan to start a detox on Monday, don’t pig out Sunday night. Your body has to get used to the idea that you are going through a change.
Let's begin our two week cleanse!
Jan 11th- Jan 17th Mentally and physically prepare for cleanse. Buy organic foods, own a blender and/or juicer and exercise.
Jan 17: week one: cut out sugar (including bottled juices), breads, pasta
Jan 24: week two: cut out meat, dairy
Jan 30: slowly ease your way back
Incorporate more vegetables, fruits, beans and rice.
Drink hot water, it helps your digestive system.
